We work mostly in remote but we hold physical meetings every other Friday in a coworking space in Charleroi, Belgium (next to the train station). A transition towards more face-to-face work is planned within a few years.
Maracas is a young studio with ambitions for growth, so you will join a small team that will grow rapidly, offering opportunities for evolution. You will take part in the studio’s development and hopefully learn a lot of things along that journey with us. We also aim to be a positive force in the local industry, so initiatives like doing talks, teaching courses, taking part in game events, sharing on social networks, etc. will be encouraged if you wish to do so.
We have an open, collaborative and respectful employee culture, where we take care of each other and learn together to be better everyday. Check our values for more details.
We are seeking a versatile teammate to build up our artist team and work in collaboration with the whole team and a freelance concept artist.

We are working on an educational game that should be completed before autumn. This is a puzzle game teaching engineering project skills through gameplay, in 3D and viewed from the top with a fixed camera.
We have plans for a multiplayer cooperative game with a strong social aspect which could start pre-production / prototyping by the end of the year.
