We work mostly in remote but we hold physical meetings two days each month in a coworking space in Charleroi, Belgium. You are free to do the internship fully in remote or join us during those meetings, in which case transportation cost can be covered by the company.

We’re looking for interns starting 2023.

Job description

We are looking for an intern to work with our programmer on one of our two projects in early development. In collaboration with the team, your missions can include:

  • Implement features (in C#) following documentation
  • Development of tools to help production
  • Development of quick prototypes to test gameplay, visuals, load…
  • Anticipating risks and adapting to the challenges of production, including deadlines and limited performances of the Switch
  • Collaborating with all members of the team and taking part in deciding on the game’s direction

Project

The project(s) we will have in production during the internship will depend on the funding we will get. Our first project, is a 3D open world adventure game that takes place in a vast fantasy world that you explore with a vehicle. The second project is a cooperative twin-stick shooter.

Job profile

The skills we consider necessary are the following:

  • Mastery of Unity 3D
  • Knowledge of C# and OOP
  • Proactive to propose solutions to design and art needs
  • Good written and oral expression in English (the team is composed of non-French speakers and all documentation is written in English to be accessible to our collaborators)
 

The following skills would be a plus:

  • Good understanding of the code impact on performance; knowledge of optimization techniques
  • Knowledge of versioning tools, especially PlasticSCM
  • Knowledge of collaborative tools like Slack, Discord, Notions, HacknPlan
